aimswebPlus Testing

Reported by on 1/26/21

Indian Prairie School District 204 will administer aimswebPlus benchmark assessments in the Winter, and Spring to students in kindergarten through eighth grade. These assessments may be delivered remotely or in person. These brief Illinois Learning Standards aligned assessments evaluate student academic performance and growth in the areas of reading and mathematics. Specifically, depending on grade level, literacy measures will assess vocabulary, phonological awareness, word recognition, reading comprehension and reading fluency. Additionally, depending on grade level, numeracy measures will assess number sense, operations, algebraic thinking, measurement/data, geometry, fractions and ratios/proportions. The assessment results are used by teachers and administrators to assist with instructional planning and differentiation at the grade, classroom and student level.

The Winter testing window will be from January 26-February 26. Students following the hybrid schedule will be assessed while in the building during this time frame. Students following the Remote schedule will be assessed remotely during this time frame. Remote students will be required to have their cameras on, and be in full view while taking the assessments, to adhere test security principles.
