Headed to a WV Football game? Here's what you need to know..
Future Waubonsie Warrior Students and Families,
Friday night football games are one of the great traditions of high school. At Waubonsie Valley, that is no different. We celebrate both the performance on the field and the enthusiasm the community continues to show toward our school.
We encourage future Warrior families to join us on Friday evenings to enjoy the games, the award winning half-time music, and the performances of our cheerleaders and pom squads. These are great opportunities to experience a part of the Waubonsie Valley culture as a family. As many of you know, attendance at our home football games has grown to record numbers. In order to provide an environment in which all spectators can safely enjoy the game and half-time show, we have enacted the following policies for this season:
• no elementary or middle school students will be admitted to high school football games without an adult chaperone
• elementary students must stay with their adult chaperone during the event
• middle school students not with their adult chaperone during the game will be directed to a priority seating area.
• students (elementary, middle and high school) will not be allowed to bring backpacks or carry-all bags into the stadium. In addition, we ask for students’ mature behavior and request to not throw items in bleachers or while inside the stadium. Students caught throwing items will be immediately removed from the game with further school consequences to follow.
We thank those students in advance for their respectful compliance of our policies and of our requests of them at our events. We have received the support of our middle school colleagues in spreading this message and thank them and the parents of our student guests in advance for reinforcing appropriate behavior and compliance to our expectations at Waubonsie Valley events.
Thank you for your continued support of our school community and for our goal of providing a fun and safe environment for all of our fans.
